Score Breakdown
What this score means
This is an illustrative profile score, not a probability of receiving a scholarship. The weights are a transparent planning exercise chosen for this tool, not an admissions model, scholarship provider criteria, or observed award rates.
The score combines academics (50%), activities (30%), the income-based planning component (10%), and the optional background component (10%). GPA is scaled against 4.0 and test scores are scaled across the input range; this is not a test percentile. Changing an input changes this model only.
Actual eligibility, deadlines, award amounts and selection criteria must be checked with each provider. This tool cannot estimate expected winnings or match you to verified live scholarships. Do not use its score to rule yourself out of an application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this calculate my actual chance of winning?
No. It produces a planning score from explicit weights, not an empirically validated probability. There is no scholarship outcome dataset behind the score.
Does a higher score guarantee more financial aid?
No. Each provider has its own eligibility and selection process. Check official award terms, deadlines and application requirements. The calculator does not forecast award amounts.
How should I use the result?
Use the breakdown to inspect the assumptions, then research individual awards. Do not treat a low score as a reason to skip an application for which you qualify.
